Manic

Today was beautiful! Snow everywhere! I took the kids (my friends) and went sledding. Due to too much snow there was less speed and more face-plants, but that was fun. It was warm enough to roll in the snow and make snowballs and discover the joys of eating fresh snow (its very addictive).

After one triumphant run down the steepest hill, we retired to Rachel's (z) for a bounty of Christmas cookies.

And then my car broke down and I wanted to cry. See, I spent yesterday cleaning my car (the snow beaded up on the newly waxed surface!) because today my potential buyer was going to test drive it and have it checked by his mechanic. God gets irony. I had to rely on multiple people (including strangers) to get my car into a safe spot/get to the mechanics/ get to work. Once I got to work I was stuck wearing the clothes I wore sledding (moonboots and all), which kinda sucked. Worst though was having to tell the buyer that I had no frik'n clue as to what was wrong with it (transmission most likely) or more importantly how much it cost.

So I wait- I may have to pay into a car that I'll only have for three more weeks, or not be able to sell it at all (which puts me down about $1,000).

The day ended on a high note though. Nothing special, just talked to friends at work and customers were nice. Plus the world was quite when I got home and now I'm having a beer. So everything's okay.

Sorry to hear that about your car. Hopefully it's not too expensive to fix.

Where'd you go sledding? Como park?
